Best practices for using LinkBrief

LinkBrief works out of the box, but a few small habits make it dramatically more useful. Here's how power users get value in the first week.

1. Paste in bulk, once a day

Don't context-switch to LinkBrief every time you save a video. Instead, once a day, open your TikTok or Instagram saves, copy the shareable links, and paste them into LinkBrief in one batch. Two minutes of work replaces a whole week of "I'll come back to that."

2. Let auto-fetch do the boring part

You don't need to write a title or category. Paste the URL and LinkBrief will transcribe the audio, generate a summary, extract action items, and suggest tags automatically. Trust it — you can always edit later.

3. Pick a briefing cadence that matches your life

• Daily if you save a lot and want to close the loop fast.
• Weekly for most people — the review feels like a genuine ritual, not a chore.
• Monthly if you save rarely and use LinkBrief mostly as an archive.

Change it in Settings whenever it stops fitting.

4. Use tags sparingly

Two or three tags per video is plenty. Tags you'll actually use: recipe, workout, idea, read-later, client-work. Tags you won't: a taxonomy with 40 nested categories. Simple beats perfect.

5. Delete without guilt

Not every saved video deserves to survive the summary. If the summary doesn't hook you, delete it. LinkBrief is a lens for what to pay attention to, not a hoarding tool.

6. Trust the briefing

When Monday morning's briefing lands, read it before opening TikTok. That reverses the usual flow: instead of consuming more, you're first acting on what you already saved. That single habit is where most of the value comes from.
